Case Study
The Challenge
When Get IT Right began working with JWilliams Staffing nine years ago, the company had a team of approximately 18 employees and was dealing with technology problems that were directly interfering with day-to-day operations. Their VoIP phone system was plagued by recurring one-way audio problems.
Workstations were experiencing repeated crashes and reliability issues caused in part by inconsistent patching and system maintenance. At the same time, the company was paying significantly more than necessary for its existing business phone system.
Technology had become something employees had to work around instead of something that helped them work. JWilliams needed more than someone to respond when something broke. They needed a technology partner capable of identifying the underlying problems, stabilizing the environment and building an infrastructure that could grow with the company.
Immediate Results
The first improvements began on day one. Get IT Right traced the recurring one-way VoIP audio problem to SIP ALG functionality on the company’s firewall.
Disabling SIP ALG resolved an issue that had repeatedly affected business calls and employee productivity. Within the first month, Get IT Right brought the company’s systems up to date with required patches and maintenance, addressing the stability problems that had contributed to recurring workstation crashes.
Employees who had been losing time to unreliable systems were able to return to a stable working environment. But stabilizing the existing technology was only the beginning.
Reducing Communications Costs
During the first three months of the relationship, Get IT Right evaluated the company’s existing phone system and determined that JWilliams could obtain the capabilities it needed through a significantly more cost-effective cloud communications platform. Get IT Right migrated the company’s PBX environment to a new cloud VoIP provider.
The migration was projected to save JWilliams approximately $75,000 over three years while providing the company with a more flexible communications platform.
The project demonstrated an important part of the Get IT Right approach: technology decisions should not simply keep systems running—they should make financial and operational sense for the business.

Preparing for Something Nobody Expected
Over the following years, Get IT Right continued modernizing the JWilliams environment.
Remote connectivity and the infrastructure required to securely work outside the traditional office were implemented well before remote work became a necessity.
That preparation became critical in March 2020.
When the COVID-19 pandemic forced companies across the country to suddenly rethink where their employees could work, JWilliams did not need to begin designing a remote-access strategy from scratch.
The foundation was already there.
Within approximately 72 HOURS, JWilliams was able to pivot its workforce to a work-from-home operating model.
Instead of spending the early days of the pandemic attempting to rapidly purchase, deploy and configure an entirely new remote-access infrastructure, the company was able to activate capabilities that had already been designed into its environment. Technology became part of the company’s business-continuity strategy rather than an obstacle to it.
Supporting the Next Stage of Growth
The relationship between JWilliams Staffing and Get IT Right has now continued for approximately nine years.
During that period, JWilliams has grown from a team of 18 EMPLOYEES to 70 EMPLOYEES. As the organization has expanded, its technology requirements have evolved with it.
Get IT Right has continued adapting the environment to support a larger organization, more employees, additional systems, increased security requirements and more sophisticated business processes.
The goal has remained consistent: technology should be ready for where the company is going, not simply capable of supporting where it is today.
The Next Chapter: Business Process Automation
As JWilliams continues to grow, the focus is increasingly moving beyond traditional IT infrastructure and into business-process automation. Get IT Right has designed a custom employee provisioning solution using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Microsoft 365 automation.
The system allows HR to initiate employee onboarding through a structured application rather than relying on disconnected emails, manual checklists and repeated data entry.
Employee information can flow through the provisioning process to drive account creation, licensing, permissions, shared mailbox access, telecommunications requirements, hardware requests and other onboarding activities.
The objective is the same one that has guided the relationship from the beginning: Identify where technology is creating friction, fix the underlying problem and build a better process for the future.
The Results
What began as an engagement to resolve persistent IT problems has developed into a long-term technology partnership. Over the course of the relationship, Get IT Right has helped JWilliams:
-
Resolve persistent VoIP call-quality problems
-
Stabilize unreliable and inadequately maintained workstations
-
Establish consistent system patching and maintenance
-
Replace an unnecessarily expensive phone platform
-
Save approximately $75,000 over three years on telecommunications
-
Establish remote-work infrastructure before it became a business necessity
-
Transition operations to work-from-home within approximately 72 hours during the 2020 pandemic disruption
-
Scale technology infrastructure alongside growth from approximately 18 to 70 employees
-
Modernize Microsoft 365 and identity-management processes
-
Begin transitioning repetitive IT processes into automated business workflows
The value of the relationship is not defined by any single project. It is the cumulative impact of nine years of making technology more reliable, more cost-effective and better aligned with the way JWilliams operates.
Technology That Grows With the Business
A managed IT provider should do more than respond when something breaks. The right technology partner should identify problems before they become business disruptions, find opportunities to reduce unnecessary costs and build infrastructure that can adapt as the organization changes.
JWilliams Staffing’s growth from an 18-person organization to a team of approximately 70 demonstrates why that long-term approach matters.
Get IT Right helps growing organizations turn technology from an operational burden into infrastructure they can build on.
